Housing market sees higher growth

House prices increased by 0.5% in December according to the Nationwide, showing signs of an improving housing market.
In November house prices increased by 0.3% and were up by 3% for the whole of 2005. However the figures were much lower than the 12% increase in 2004.
Most analysts predict a stable housing market for 2006, with the Nationwide predicting a 3% increase.
